This decision echoes a steadfast desire on the part of the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry (FH) to introduce a minimum rate of Swiss value as a condition for use of the Swiss made label on Swiss watches namely 60% for quartz watches and 80% for mechanical watches. These criteria will form the basis of an amendment of the 1971 ordinance regulating use of the name «Swiss» for watches (Swiss made ordinance).At present the Swiss made ordinance does not stipulate a minimum threshold in relation to added value accruing from the designation Swiss. With the support of a very large majority of its members odm ladies watches the FH wishes to remedy this shortcoming to prevent watches incorporating only a very small percentage of Swiss value from being designated as «Swiss made». Indeed consumers who buy a watch marked «Swiss made» expect it to have been manufactured in Switzerland and that it should include a high added value attributable to its source.

As well as ensuring credibility among consumers around the world strengthening of the Swiss made label for watches will make it possible to maintain the existence of an industrial fabric of manufacturers and subcontractors in Switzerland and will encourage the growth of production capacities in our country replica watches developing investment and securing jobs over the longer term. It’s a strong look, but someone with Jada’s presence can pull it off.

My only wish is that the dress had been more fitted like on the model.

Dita von Teese’s risqué Tadashi Shoji gown was the clear winner for best dressed this week.

The burlesque star added her signature red lipstick, 1940’s Marcel waves and diamond drop earrings to complete her sultry look..

In the wrong hands this gown could’ve headed down to Tackyville, USA, but Dita oozes elegance and sophistication every time she hits the red carpet and this was no exception.

You will not be surprised that Iman was my favourite this week.

Karolina Kurkova attended the Ischia Global Film and Music Festival in Ischia, Italy with her partner Archie Drury on Sunday evening.

The supermodel has had a very busy few weeks with Resort shows, Couture week and the Monaco Royal wedding, that I’m sure she enjoyed time-out at this festival.

She certainly dressed up for the occasion, as she opted to wear a Sophie Theallet Resort 2012 satin gown.

The fuchsia pink cold-shoulder gown has a navy blue sash which wraps around the body.

I love how it’s tied into a bow on the model, but Karolina opted to wear loose.

A simple bun, matching pink lippie, a red clutch and a gold Chanel cuff completed her look.

I love the gown, but I wish the heels had been as sexy as her dress.

Karolina appears to be a huge fan of Sophie’s work as she recently wore a dress from her Fall 2011 collection.

Elizabeth Olsen attended the Premiere of her movie “Martha Marcy May Marlene” at the Ryerson Theatre during the 2011 Toronto Film Festival yesterday.

The actress chose an Erdem Lucietta floral-print silk crepe de chine gown from the Resort 2012 collection.

Her long, multi-coloured floral print dress features a keyhole cutout and short sleeves.

Elizabeth accessorized her dress with a beige Salvatore Ferragamo Swarovski crystal minaudiere, Jason Wu shoes and Kara Ackerman jewels.

She wore her glossy blonde hair in a half-up, half-down style and added coral eyeshadow and pink lips to her look.

I adore this pretty, summery ensemble on Elizabeth and especially like her Ferragamo clutch. It’s a grown-up look for the young actress but she manages to pull it off perfectly.

Known to many as the thinking fashionista’s city, Antwerp is home to Anne, Dries, and Raf—none of whom need an introduction, let alone a last name. So when I was invited to the launch event this past Saturday of RA 13, a new shopping destination and, dare I say, cultural venue, I had to ask myself: When it comes to concept, does Antwerp need another store? Anna Kushnerova, RA 13’s director and a former Royal Academy student, humbly offered her mission: “I wanted to do something special. I want to share things not easily found.” Perhaps this is why RA 13 has a selection that spans the latest Gareth Pugh to vintage wares, covering along the way indie favorites like Bless and Richard Nicoll.For Saturday’s event, the fashion community from Antwerp and beyond came together at the 8,000-square-foot former gallery space on Kloosterstraat. RA 13 boasts a sculpture garden (pictured above), restaurant, library, installation space, sections for vintage and music, and two floors of fashion. But the real party was at the Scheld’apen squat across town, where the likes of Bruno Pieters, Katie Eary, and Rad Hourani danced the night away to over ten deejays. However, they still probably didn’t have as much fun as Charles Anastase, spotted dancing shirtless all night with Hannah Marshall.With space for students and young artists selling and showing their first works (and a rumored showroom to support young designers), Kushnerova has achieved her aim of something a bit different. It’s perhaps reminiscent of Brussels’ Stijl, the store touted for first carrying the Antwerp Six in the early 1980’s. Can you imagine buying a one-of-a-kind Margiela, then a student at the Royal Academy, well before the Maison? You’ll have to wait several years, but RA 13 might help you find out.

Soho has been a shopping destination for so long, it hardly seems worth remarking that a new corner of the neighborhood has opened its arms to fashion. Nevertheless, something does seem to be afoot on the nabe’s downtown edge. Agnès B. is due to open soon on Howard Street. Just around the block on Grand Street, Alexander Wang is taking over the old Yohji space. And now Victoria Bartlett has opened her first-ever VPL store at the junction of Mercer and Howard. “So-Soho,” Bartlett suggests visitors call the area, tongue planted gently in cheek. There’s certainly nothing mediocre about her boutique, which she’s kitted out with vintage gym gear (gymnastic rings, a pommel horse, etc.) and filled with clothes from her main line and VPL Two collections, as well as a selection of the collaborative jewelry she shows on the VPL runway. “I didn’t want to do either the cliché white-on-white fashion store, or the filled-to-bursting boutique,” Bartlett said. “I just wanted the space to feel really VPL, an agglomeration of all my influences.” To wit, Bauhaus-inspired color-blocking here (reminiscent of her signature color-blocked underthings), and a model of a human spine there (homage to Bartlett’s fascination with human anatomy). Bartlett will be celebrating the store opening with a party this Thursday, by which point, the Mark Borthwick portraits of people wearing VPL will be up on the walls. “Lo-so? The new movie Cyrus started out as a bunch of dudes. Directors Jay and Mark Duplass wrote the part of a down-and-out single guy specifically for John C. Reilly, then cast Jonah Hill as the clingy, weird, full-grown son of the woman he falls for.And then? “Honestly, we had a little bit of a freak-out,” Jay Duplass explained at last night’s Blackberry-sponsored Cinema Society screening of the film at the Crosby Hotel. “We had these two guys who are just really funny, brilliant minds, and we were like, we’ve got to find a girl who can hold her own.”Enter Marisa Tomei (left, with Jay Duplass). “What I enjoyed was that it was a fuller picture of a woman than a lot of times we get to see,” said the actress, who came by the screening in a Lela Rose dress and Brian Atwood heels. Tomei did decide to tweak the character’s wardrobe, though. “The guys were wanting it to be really low-key—serious low-key, like sweat pants. But she’s the muse to this really creative, eccentric child. I just thought she was more of a creative person and that it would be expressed somewhat more through her style.”“She was really picky about what she wore,” Duplass confirmed. But the gents were happy to oblige. “Once we realized the level of her heightened awareness of clothes, we were like, girl, just go with it. We don’t even need to approve it, just pick what you want. During the 2010 Cannes Film Festival British actress Kate Beckinsale was one of the judges.

Despite many of you questioning her credentials, I was purely happy to see Kate in at least 2 frocks everyday for 2 weeks.

One of those frocks from the Balmain Spring 2011 collection.

At the “Biutiful” Premiere Kate wore this stunning black sequin Balmain gown with a thigh-high split.

A black gold studded belt completed her look.

Celine Dion wore the same dress when she performed at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas this week.

She only added Giuseppe Zanotti heels and voluminous hair to her look.

Kate wins for me despite the pumps, because I much prefer this look with a waist-defining belt.
